bulletL. P. Felton and R. B. Nelson. "Matrix Structural Analysis", John Wiley and Sons, 1997. This is a good text, even though it does not go far enough in some topics and the students dislike the absence of numerical examples; it is on 2-hr reserve in the Engineering Library under call number TA642 .F45 1997
bulletW. McGuire, R. H.  Gallagher and R. D. Ziemian. " Matrix Structural Analysis", Second Edition, John Wiley and Sons, 2000. This is a popular book on linear and nonlinear matrix structural analysis with unconventional notation; even though it does not emphasize the concepts the way we plan to present them in this course, it is a good reference; it is on 2-hr reserve in the Engineering Library under call number TA642 .M25 2000.
bulletT. Au and P. Christiano. "Structural Analysis", Prentice Hall, 1987. This is a good reference for classical methods of analysis and thus useful for review; it has only a brief discussion on matrix methods and is thus insufficient for this course; it is placed on 2-hr reserve in the Engineering Library under call number TA 645.A871 1987.
