• Gretchen Miller, Rubin's PHD student, receives an Outstanding Student Paper Award for her poster presentation, A new technique for upscaling sap flow transpiration measurements to stand or landscape scale fluxes, at AGU 2007 Fall Meeting in San Francisco, California

• Rubin's group starts a collaborative effort with PNNL Lab to investigate Uranium transport in the subsurface (January 2008)

Recent research interests include Hydrogeology, contaminant transport in porous media, environmental performance and risk assessment , and geostatistics. Ongoing research projects include hydrogeological-geophysical methods for contaminated site characterization, modeling of contaminant transport in heterogeneous porous media, contaminant transport for environmental risk assessment, and performance assessment of nuclear repository sites.
