  Form teams of three students and propose a world you will model. In English, describe the objective of the model, anticipated uses for the model, objects (PROTOs) in the world, data and attributes that will be represented and also five kinds of data and attributes that will not be represented.

     1. Devil is in the Deviations
        'The Devil is in the Deviations' is a computer animation that illustrates the 'bunching'effect. The animation was developed by Julio Martinez and can be downloaded from his "Simulation Demos" website at http://www.strobos.ce.vt.edu/Demos/Default.htm.
        "This animation illustrates the effect of variability in the productivity of an earthwork operation. An initial and perfectly balanced case illustrates a "dream world" in which there is no variability in excavation, travel, and dumping times. Other cases with the same fleet but with various coefficients of variation applied to these times illustrate the queuing and resulting production loss that results when probabilistic activity times are used.
