Admissions for Graduate Study at CEE

Thank you for your interest in graduate study in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley.

At CEE you are admitted to one of the six programs within the department. 

Engineering & Project Management (formerly Construction Engineering & Management)
Environmental Engineering
GeoEngineering
Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials
Transportation Engineering
Civil Systems (Civil Systems is an interdisciplinary program that spans all of the programs.)

Application Availability and Admission Deadlines

The online application is found at Graduate Application. 

CEE only accepts online applications. CEE does not accept applications for the spring semester.

Note the following important deadlines.

December 17, 2007 – Deadline for fall 2008 Admissions and Fellowship.
February 4, 2008 – Deadline for fall 2008 Admission Only.
February 15, 2008 – Deadline for supporting documents to the application to be received by CEE. (Supporting documents includes: one official transcript from each college or university you have attended and one official GRE score report.)
February 15, 2008—Deadline for International students to meet the TOEFL requirement.
