The CEE Department runs PCs organized in a Windows
domain. If you're CEE faculty,
staff, a grad student, or an undergrad major, you can get an account
in this domain. Once you have an account,
you can log in to any department-owned PC or use any department-owned printer
that's part of the domain.
The primary CEE computing resources are:
1. The instructional PC labs in 345 Davis, 118 McLaughlin, and B4
Evans Hall. The PCs in these labs are part of the CEE Windows domain. Each of
these labs, except B4 Evans, also has a printer. Information about print quotas
is here.
2. The Unix computers at the Davis-Etcheverry Computing Facility
(DECF). This facility provides computing resources to a
number of departments in the College of Engineering.
For information about the services and resources you should expect to
receive, please see our Service Level Agreement.
On this site you'll find all the information you need regarding computing
in the CEE Department. If there's something you want to know that isn't
answered here please send an email message to webmaster@ce.berkeley.edu
and we'll do our best to add the information where it makes the most sense.
If you have a question we suggest you start off by taking a look at the
Frequently Asked Questions page because there's a good chance that somebody
has already thought of the question before and, with any luck, somebody
else has written down the answer.
