Getting a CEE Windows Domain Account

Please note that this is not an e-mail account. Please sign up for e-mail through CalMail.

In order to obtain a CEE Windows Domain Account, you must have an active CalNet ID and be in one of the following categories:
  • A graduate student in CEE
  • A declared undergraduate CEE major
  • A current student in a CEE class that requires computer access
  • A visiting scholar in CEE

Registering for a CEE Windows Domain Account if you are not in one of the above categories is a violation of UC Berkeley computer policy. Violators are subject to disciplinary action.

With a CEE Windows Domain Account, you will be able to log in to the computers in the instructional computing labs. When you log in, you will have an H: drive which is also accessible through "My Documents". This is your home directory and can be accessed from any computer in the instructional computing labs. Store your critical files here. Please do not store non-critical files on the H: drive such as software applications, temporary files, or MP3s.

If you have questions about your account or any other computing-related questions, please refer to the CEE Computing FAQ.

You might see a message from your browser asking you if you wish to proceed using the Civil Engineering self-assigned security certificate. You should answer "yes."
