Our graduate program in environmental engineering has held the #1 spot for the past 8 years; civil engineering has been in the top 2 for the past 14 years. Our undergraduate programs in environmental engineering and in civil engineering are among the top 3 schools every year.

CEE faculty member for 38 years and one of the legends of earthquake engineering, Ray Clough, died on Oct. 8.  As a co-developer of the "Finite Element Method," he forever revolutionized the field of structural analysis and building design.
The Academy will induct its Class of 2016 during a banquet at the California Memorial Stadium. Preceding the event will be the CEE Distinguished Lecture by water environmentalist and Stanford faculty member, Stephen Monismith.
