Graduate Student Le Floch founds Solar Startup

Featured Faculty: Scott Moura
CEE PhD student Caroline Le Floch has joined with ME PhD student Jonathan Mather to found the startup "SolFox."

SolFox uses data science techniques to drive down solar customer acquisition costs. Specifically, SolFox combines customer and open source data with behavioral modeling to identify high value customers.

SolFox was recently accepted into the CITRIS Foundry, a University of California applied tech incubator for early stage startups developing disruptive solutions of societal importance.

SolFox was originally conceived out of the SFunCube Hackathon competition, where Le Floch and Mather won first place. Le Floch is advised by CEE Professor Scott Moura and Mather is advised by EECS Professor Kameshwar Poolla.
