Cal Construction Team in ASC Competition in Sparks, NV

Featured Faculty: Iris D. Tommelein

The Cal Construction Team, composed of 29 CEE and Architecture students, along with faculty adviser Professor Iris Tommelein, drove to Sparks, NV to compete in the 30th Annual Construction Competition of the Associated Schools of Construction.

The competition was held February 8-11, 2017.

Cal Construction's 4 teams competed fiercely in the following divisions:

  • Virtual Design and Construction (sponsored by WebCor),
  • Commercial Construction (sponsored by Hensel Phelps),
  • Design-Build (sponsored by Swinerton), and
  • Integrated Project Delivery (sponsored by Clark Construction).
     
Ana Corina Perez 2017 Merit Award Ana Corina Perez, Master’s student in CEE's Engineering & Project Management, stood out from all participants in the Integrated Project Delivery division, and was recognized with the 2017 Merit Award.
