Professor Jonathan Bray and Adjunct Professor Michael Riemer were two of the authors of the paper selected to receive Geo-Institute's 2010 Thomas A Middlebrooks Award. The paper is titled, "Shear Strength of Municipal Solid Waste," and it was published in the June 2009 issue of Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering.
The paper was selected for its contributions to geotechnical engineering.
