Professor Arpad Horvath served as Conference Chair for the 6th International Conference of the International Society for Industrial Ecology, held at the Clark Kerr Campus at Berkeley on June 7-10.
Over 500 of the leading academics and practitioners from 35 countries gathered to share their pioneering ideas through 380 presentations and 140 posters on the theme of "Science, Systems and Sustainability."
The conference was the largest industrial ecology meeting ever held as it drew twice as many participants than any other conference of its kind.
