In a recent article published in the MIT Technology Review, Jessica Leber cites the work performed by Professor Alexandre Bayen on hybrid data for the California Department of Transportation.
The goal of the project is the definition and implementation of procurement procedures for data on behalf of State DOTs. The work is part of the Mobile Millennium project, which focuses on the use of smartphone data for traffic applications.
