CEE Systems Engineering Professor and Institute of Transportation Studies Director Alex Bayen, was featured in 45-minute segment on France Inter (the NPR equivalent in France), on the topic of Smart Cities.
The show, "Des Octets dans Ma Ville" (Octets in my city), reported on innovative applications of technology to manage future cities better, for example with water resources, traffic management, personalized mobility.
Bayen spoke about his Connected Corridors project and some of the team's recent findings in regard to Los Angeles traffic. The interview also covered the recent CITRIS-signed UC Berkeley—INRIA partnership, in particular, the Memo of Understanding signed a few years ago between the city of Paris and San Francisco.
