Professor Moehle Named EERI Distinguished Lecturer for 2005
Professor
Jack Moehle of the Structural
Engineering, Mechanics and Materials program and director of
the Pacific
Earthquake Engineering Research (PEER) Center, has been chosen
to give the Earthquake
Engineering Research Institute's 2005 Distinguished Lecture.
He will give a lecture on "Performance-Based Design: Developments
and
Applications" at the EERI's 57th Annual meeting in February
2005.
Moehle was nominated by the EERI Honors Committee in recognition
of his many years of outstanding leadership in the field of research
on the seismic evaluation and rehabilitation of structures. He has
been an EERI member since 1981.
