Cal Takes First in National Steel Bridge Competition

CEE's Steel Bridge Team placed first among 42 participating schools in the 17th annual National Student Steel Bridge Competition, held at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Their "Calatrava" bridge earned highest honors in lightness and efficiency.

The top three schools were:

1. University of California, Berkeley
2. University of Florida
3. University of California, Davis
