Tarek Rabbani Interviewed by France Public TV
Tarek Rabbani, CEE Civil Systems Ph.D. student, was interviewed by France 3, one of the two major Public TV stations in France, about his research on the automatic control of irrigation channels. Tarek’s interview is part of a documentary broadcasted on France 3 on the Gignac Canal in Southern France.
Xavier Litrico, who was recently a Visiting Research Scientist at Berkeley for one year is currently hosting Tarek Rabbani in CEMAGREF, the French Department of Water Resources in an ongoing collaboration funded by the France Berkeley Fund. In France, Tarek is participating in the implementation of real-time control algorithms for irrigation channels which were conceived at Berkeley, using the SCADA monitoring system of the Gignac Canal, probably one of the best instrumented canals in the world with hundreds of sensors along its fifty kilometers.
