Professor Kanafani Named Chair of TRB Executive Committee

Professor Adib K. Kanafani, Cahill Professor of Civil Engineering, has been named the 2009 Chairman of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Executive Committee. He will serve a one-year term in this office, beginning January 14, 2009.

The TRB's mission is to provide leadership in transportation innovation and progress through research and information exchange. The TRB Executive Committee members are appointed by the chair of the National Research Council and they exercise oversight responsibility for the Board’s programs and activities.
