Professor Hermanowicz Delivers Fulbright Lecture on Sustainable Water Management in Vienna

On January 9, 2009, at the end of his tenure as the Fulbright BOKU Distinguished Chair in Sustainability, Professor Slav Hermanowicz delivered a public lecture in the Great Hall of the Universität für Bodenkultur (University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences) in Vienna. The lecture was entitled "Will water be the 'oil of the 21st century'?" and is available at http://www.boku.ac.at/oilwater.html .

The Fulbright Distinguished Chair is the most prestigious appointment in the Fulbright Scholar Program with only about thirty awards worldwide in all areas of scholarship. In the past decade, five UC Berkeley faculty have received this appointment.
