Professor Jack Moehle Shares Earthquake Spectra's Outstanding Paper Award
Professor Jack Moehle and four former Berkeley students (Ken Elwood, University of British Columbia; Laura Lowes and Dawn Lehman, University of Washington; and John Wallace, UCLA) shared the Outstanding Paper Award for Earthquake Spectra for their paper "Update to ASCE/SEI 41 Concrete Provisions."
This award is given to authors of papers judged to be outstanding contributions to earthquake hazard mitigation. Papers of recipients must have made a significant impact on the profession, provided a significant advance in the state-of-the-art or understanding of a particular topic, be of exceptional technical quality with concise and informative illustrations, and be well written for a broad audience.
Congratulations, Professor Moehle and team!
