Abby Enscoe Wins SOM Travel Fellowship
Abby Enscoe, SEMM graduate student, has won the Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill LLP (SOM) Foundation's 2009 Structural Engineering Travel Fellowship.
This Fellowship aims to foster an appreciation of the aesthetic potential inherent in the structural design of both buildings and bridges along with other major works of architecture and engineering, in order to encourage an awareness of the importance of the visual impact of structures.
The $10,000 Fellowship is awarded annually to a student who is graduating with a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or Ph.D. in structural engineering.
Abby's advisor is Professor Stephen Mahin.
Congratulations, Abby!
