CEE Research Fair on April 29
With the support of the CEE Outreach Committee, a group of students has planned a CEE Research Fair to be held on April 29, 2009, in 406 Davis (5:00-5:30 p.m.) and the Garbarini Lounge (5:30-7:30 p.m.).
The CEE Research Fair is an event geared towards matching graduate student researchers with undergraduates wanting research experience. At the Fair, graduate students will be able to meet potential research assistants face-to-face and hire them for summer, fall or spring research. This is a great opportunity to gain supervision experience.
The first half hour will be an infosession including a presentation by an undergraduate student explaining his/her past experience with research and a graduate student outlining the expectations of a research assistant. The next two hours will be an opportunity to meet interested undergraduate students career-fair style to talk about research opportunities.
Refreshments will be provided.
Contact Christina Young and Justin Martinez at industry@calasce.org if you are interested or have questions.
Please include your name, CEE group, faculty advisor, title of research project, and number of research assistants needed.
