Professors Fenves and Filippou with two Former Students Receive the J. James R. Croes Medal

The ASCE 2009 J. James R. Croes Medal was awarded to Professor Gregory Fenves, former faculty member of CEE, Professor Filip Filippou, Michael Scott (CEE Ph.D. '04) and Frank McKenna (CEE Ph.D. '97) for their paper, "Software Patterns for Nonlinear Beam-Column Models," Journal of Structural Engineering, April 2008.

The paper presents a framework for simulating the material and geometric nonlinear response of frame members.
