Evan Variano's "Surf Forecast" in Cal Day Slideshow

Professor Evan Variano's "Surf Forecast" demonstration was among the highlights of Cal Day on April 18, 2009. See Cal Day slideshow. (Evan Variano can be found a little over halfway through the show.)

He demonstrated to admitted students and their parents what engineers knew about waves that surfers and fishermen did not. As Evan said, he provided, "awesome surf forecast." Students heard about about waves from an entirely new perspective and possibly went away with some tips on which beach to hit the next day.
