CEE Steel Bridge Team Places Fifth at Nationals

Congratulations to CEE's Steel Bridge Team for placing fifth among 46 teams in a highly competitive national division held on May 21-22, 2009, at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The final score was:
1st Place: SUNY Canton at $1943.833
2nd Place: North Dakota State University at $1947.500
3rd Place: Lakehead University at $1983.667
4th Place: Virginia Polytechnic at $2001.500
5th Place: UC Berkeley at $2039.833

Berkeley was the only team to consistently place in the top 5 in the various categories, but the NDSU bridge was extremely light, and the SUNY Canton bridge was built extremely fast.

RadiCAL was an outstanding achievement by CEE students, faculty, and staff, who devoted hours of meaningful hard work, teamwork, leadership, and skills, into building this year's steel bridge. Go RadiCAL!
