Orientations for all New CEE Students - August 24, 2009

August 24-28 is Welcome Week at Cal. It is important that all new CEE students attend their respective orientations so that they will gain an introduction to CEE and learn about everything that CEE has to offer.

Undergraduate Students

Civil and Environmental Engineering freshmen and transfer students should attend the College of Engineering's New Student Orientation on Monday, August 24, starting at 9:00 a.m. in Wheeler Auditorium. The CEE departmental meeting will follow from 10:15-11:30 a.m. in 502 Davis Hall. Lunch will be held from 11:30-12:30 on the O'Brien Hall breezeway.

Graduate Students

CEE Graduate Student Orientation is on also on Monday, August 24. Check-in and registration is from 8:15-9:00 a.m. on the Bechtel Terrace (south side of Davis Hall).

The department's Orientation Program follows the check-in period from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in Room 10, Evans Hall. Faculty will welcome new graduate students, and there will be presentations on the important resources within the department. Box lunches will be available for students and faculty on the Bechtel Terrace at noon.

CEE group sessions will be offered either from 10:00 a.m.-noon and/or in the afternoon from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
