What do Civil Engineers Do?

Campus and CEE Career Services

UC Berkeley Career Center offers career counseling, workshops, orientations, job fairs, visits by employers, on-campus recruiting, on-line job and internship listings, resume preparation and critique, interviewing and job search strategies, and help in preparing for graduate school. Students can meet with career counselors to discuss strategies towards assessing both self and career options.

Career Counselor Ed Free is available every Tuesday, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., in 432 Davis Hall. Any COE student who wishes to talk to Ed can make an appointment by using the sign-up sheet, or can just drop in.

Career Paths/Occupational Information and Resources offers specialized career center services for civil engineering.

The Tang Center offers short term counseling to students with personal, academic, and career concerns such as: adjusting to school, deciding on a career or major, dealing with family or relationship issues, and coping with personal crises. The Career Counseling Library has an extensive collection of books, articles, directories, catalogs, and assessments that can help you explore yourself, career fields, and graduate school programs.

Employers can post job and internship listings at CalJobs (UC Berkeley Career Center's listing service).
