How Canoe Fundraises

Concrete Canoe is a student run and operated project with limited funding from the College of Engineering. In an effort to increase the budget for the project, the team fundraises every year by sending letters to more than 500 engineering companies asking for support and organizing different fundraising affairs.

What your donations fund

The major expenses incurred by the project include milling the form of the canoe, purchasing aggregates, binders, and admixtures for the concrete mix, purchasing reinforcing materials, and transportation and lodging expenses for the competitions.

How you can contribute financially

If you are interested in helping the team by making a monetary contribution, please fill out a donation form and contact:

How you and your firm can benefit

In thanks for your support and consideration, all sponsors will receive a picture of the team with a certificate of appreciation and will be listed on our website, directly linked to the University of California, Berkeley Civil Engineering Department website.

For Corporate Sponsors:

$100 or more: Your company’s logo will appear on the team T-shirt worn by all members at the competitions. You will also receive a complementary T-shirt.

$250 or more: In addition to above, your company will receive a resume book of the team.

$1000 or more: Your company will be considered a primary sponsor. In addition to above, your company’s logo will appear on the team’s canoe hauling trailer.

For Personal Sponsors:

$100 or more: Your name will appear on the team T-shirt worn by all members at the competitions. You will also receive a complementary T-shirt.

$500 or more: You will be considered a primary sponsor. In addition to above, your name will appear on the team’s canoe hauling trailer.
