Mark Hansen received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and Philosophy at Yale University in 1980, and Masters in City Planning at UC Berkeley in 1984. He received his Ph. D. in Transportation Engineering at UC Berkeley in 1988. He is the co-director of National Center for Excellence in Aviation Operations Research (NEXTOR). His research interests include transportation economics, policy and planning, air transportation and public transportation.
