Alexandre Bayen Receives Prestigious PECASE Award

CEE Professor Alexandre Bayen was one of six UC scientists and engineers named by President Obama on Nov. 5 to receive the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).  The PECASE award is the government's highest honor to researchers at the outset of their careers.

Professor Bayen was among 85 researchers selected by the White House for their pursuit of innovative research at the frontiers of science and technology and their commitment to community service as demonstrated through scientific leadership, public education, or community outreach.
