CEE's Cal Construction team won first place in the Western Pacific Region in the 2018 Design-Build Competition. In November, they will move on to Phase 2 of the competition, the DBIA Design-Build Conference and Expo in New Orleans.
This year's competition was extremely strong. The regional jury members were very impressed with Berkeley's qualifications and responses to the RFQ.
The team's faculty adviser is Professor Iris Tommelein.
Cal Construction has had a great year! In February, the team had an impressive showing at the Associated Schools of Construction competition, placing consistently in the top 3 in the main and "alternates" tracks.
Moreover, the team had the highest success rate (percentage-wise) of any school that brought more than 2 teams.
