Anil Chopra's book, Dynamics of Structures: Theory and Applications to Earthquake Engineering has been translated into Lithuanian in 2018. First published in 1995, the book is now in its 4th edition.
Earlier the book had been translated to Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Greek, Turkish, Spanish, and Farsi.
Dynamics of Structures includes many topics encompassing the theory of structural dynamics and the application of this theory regarding earthquake analysis, response, and design of structures.
The work is considered a must-read book in the field of earthquake engineering. One reviewer stated, “…there is no other comparable earthquake dynamics analysis book of comparable breadth and detail, much less of this superb quality.”
Professor Emeritus Chopra taught in the CEE Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials program for over four decades, retiring in 2016.
