CEE alumnus Dr. Farhang Ostadan was selected by ASCE's Energy Division to receive the Stephen D. Bechtel, Jr. Energy Award for "significant contributions to practice, research and codification activities for advancing soil-structure-interaction analysis and seismic analysis in the energy industry, in particular the nuclear power industry."
The Stephen D. Bechtel, Jr. Energy Award was established to recognize outstanding achievements in the energy field by a civil engineer.
