Professor Jonathan Bray, a member of the CEE Geo-engineering program, was selected to deliver the 2012 William B. Joyner Memorial Lecture, which will be given at the annual meetings of the The Seismological Society of America (SSA) and the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI).

He was selected for this honor on the basis of his outstanding earth science contributions to the theory and practice of earthquake engineering.

The Joyner lecture honors Joyner’s distinguished career at the U.S. Geological Survey and his abiding commitment to continuing communication and education at the interface between research findings of earthquake science and the practical realities of earthquake engineering.
