Featured Faculty: Alexandre M. Bayen

CEE Professor Alexandre Bayen is part of a team of investigators on the Algorithms, Machines and People (AMP) expedition, which was awarded a five-year $10 million NSF Expedition grant. His research project, Mobile Millennium, is one of a number of projects at Berkeley that will be used to develop powerful new tools to help extract Big Data, a term coined for the dizzying array of measurements, images, texts, videos, and tweets that continuously grow larger, faster, and more diverse.
