Drew Gentner Publishes Research on Diesel Pollution

Featured Faculty: Robert Harley

Drew Gentner, CEE Ph.D. student, along with CEE Professors Robert Harley and Allen Goldstein, points to diesel sources as a previously unrecognized and important part of particulate air pollution that forms in the atmosphere.

The new findings contradict previous research that put the blame on gasoline-fueled vehicles as the predominant source of precursors that form secondary organic aerosol.

Gentner was the lead author on the research paper just published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).
