CEE Professor Paulo Monteiro, and lead research engineer, Marie Jackson, discover that the ancient Romans mixed a concrete so stable that it has withstood an aggressive seawater environment for over 2,000 years.

They plan to use the expertise of these ancient engineers to develop modern concretes that are both greener and longer-lasting than Portland cement.
