Jack Moehle Publishes Seismic Design Book

Featured Faculty: Jack P. Moehle

Jack Moehle, TY and Margaret Lin Professor of Engineering, has published a new book entitled Seismic Design of Reinforced Concrete Buildings.

This 760-page book, published by McGraw-Hill, emphasizes the behavior and design requirements for earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete buildings constructed in regions of high seismic risk. The text is fully consistent with the requirements of ASCE 7-10 and ACI 318-14.

The book is the textbook for the CEE graduate course CE 244: Reinforced Concrete Structures, taught on the Berkeley campus. It is also intended as a reference text for practicing professionals.

Moehle teaches in CEE's Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials program.
