William Wang, a Ph.D. student, along with undergraduate students Emily Wu, Elisa Woodham, and Annie Xu, prepared the rebar for a scale bridge pier wall test with bidirectional loading. The research is sponsored by Caltrans, and William's aim is to enhance the safety and economy of pier wall bridges by gaining a better understanding of their performance. William is co-advised by CEE Professors Tracy Becker and Jack Moehle.

Elisa Woodham and Emily Wu, both undergraduate students, are part of ASCE's leadership board. Elisa is serving as Vice President and the Materials & Graphics Lead for the Cal Concrete Canoe team, while Emily is serving as Infosession Manager for the Joint Fundraising Committee, which is responsible for external affairs and financing for all CEE student organizations.

Annie has been working as a Student Assistant for the past few months. She has performed various tasks, including constructing pier walls for testing, rebar tying and sanding, strain gauge installation, and concrete cylinder testing in Davis Hall Structures Lab.
