The Institute of Transportation Studies hosted a fireside chat on Wednesday, November 15th, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm in the Toll Room, Alumni House with CEE alum Juan Carlos Muñoz, the Secretary of Transport and Telecommunications of Chile, to celebrate the signing of an MOU with the Government of Chile!
Carlos Muñoz is the Secretary of Transport and Telecommunications of Chile. He has extensive experience in academia, working in research areas focusing on transport operations, public transport systems, logistics, and vehicular traffic theory, among others. Until his appointment as secretary, he was a full professor in the Department of Transport and Logistics Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and director of the Centre for Sustainable Urban Development, CEDEUS. He earned his M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California Berkeley.
