CE 166 Students Visit UCSF Construction Project

CE166 students took a field trip to UCSF's Parnassus Research and Academic Building Project, with the visit including a presentation and site walk in partnership with Hensel Phelps (Photo Credit: Mark Shami).

Students in Mark Shami's course visited UCSF's Parnassus Research and Academic Building Project. The visit included a presentation and site walk in partnership with Hensel Phelps. It exposed the students to the various construction methods, heavy equipment, earth-moving operations, and other activities on this complex project site. This trip was inspiring and informative! 

CE166 is an undergraduate-level course that encompasses an introduction to Construction Engineering and field operations, including topics such as the construction industry, construction methods and practice, productivity improvement, equipment selection, site layout formwork, and the erection of steel and concrete structures.
