In the News: Alumnus Zayas, Olympic Games Engineer

Featured Faculty: Iris D. Tommelein

Securing a job as an engineer for the Olympics has unified CEE alumnus Daniel Zayas' (CE BS '12) triple passions of engineering, travel, and sports.

For months, Zayas has been hard at work planning the temporary facilities that come down after the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympic Games. His journey to becoming an engineer for the Olympics was supported by CEE Professor Iris Tommelein, who helped Zayas secure a grant that would launch his career.
