Congratulations to CEE Professor Kara Nelson on receiving the 2024 Faculty Award for Outstanding Mentorship of GSIs! The Faculty Award for Outstanding Mentorship of GSIs is an annual award presented to a faculty member who has provided outstanding pedagogical mentorship to GSIs in preparation for teaching in future careers. Faculty receive this award based on nominations from their GSIs and letters of support from departmental chairs.
The award is sponsored by the Graduate Council’s Advisory Committee for GSI Affairs and the GSI Teaching & Resource Center. The Graduate Mentoring Awards ceremony will be held on April 17, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alumni House.
